Bridge To Terabithia, based on the book by Katherine Paterson, is about a boy named Jess and his encounter with a strange girl. This girl, Leslie, shows Jess a new way of using his imagination and together they discover a whole new world, in which are giant trolls, dragon fly warriors, and many other made up creatures. But after Leslie dies a tragic death, Jess starts to realize that she showed him how to use his imagination, and that he should pass that on to his 6-year old sister May-Belle. This truly is a heart warming movie, and is certain to make you cry. Although it is not very true to the book, I still rate it 3 stars.

When I invited Allison to go see this movie with me, I thought it was going to be a lot like the book and a little different. I'm not saying it was bad, it was just different from what I was expecting. I liked the special effects, though they were alarming at first. I thought it was really really sad when Leslie died. There was a bigger contrast between the book and the movie, but it made Terabithia more imagineable. I would rate this 3 1/2 stars.
