NightBy Elie Wiesel
In this frightful story, Elie Wiesel tells of his personal experience of survival in the Nazi concentration camps. He explains it all in great detail, from before he was taken to the camps, all the way till he was liberated by the U.S. During his stay in the camps, his father was with him most of the time. Elie Wiesel knew that he would not be able to make it without his father's support and knowing that his father was still alive because the rest of his family (his mother, younger sister and other relatives) were already dead. Unfortunately Elie Wiesel had to literally watch his father die. This story was amazing. I loved it. I recommend it to all teens who don't mind reading about the Holocaust or are looking for information on it. 5 Stars!

Chicks With Sticks (It's A Purl Thing)
By Elizabeth Lenhard
After Scottie's Aunt dies, her life is in shambles. Her former best friend, Amanda, has turned into the queen of her school, and her parents are occupied by her mother’s art work. But one night, Scottie meets Alice, the storekeeper of KnitWit, a local yarn selling store. There, Scottie discovers her love for knitting, and Amanda discovers her passion for it too. Together they discover new friends, new places, and learn that they have a true friendship that nothing and nobody can break. All because Alice's knitting store. I would reccomend this book to all teen girls who enjoy friendship stories and knitting.
