The Naming, by Alison Croggon

Very much a tolkien-esque piece of literature, The Naming is a splendid and capturing read. Maerad is a lowly slave at Gilman's Cot, but a mysterious stranger offers her a chance at a better life.

"High fantasy of high caliber."
- Bulletin of the Center for Children's Books

"An epic fantasy in the Tolkien tradition....I couldn't put it down!"

Time Stops For No Mouse, by Michael Hoeye
As a book about a world of rodents, this book might seem more suited to younger readers. While this might be true, it is also an awesome read for fantasy-loving teenagers. Hermux Tantamoq, the main character, runs a clock shop and fixes clocks for a living. Little does he know, he will become involved in scandal, danger and detective work. I strongly recommend this book, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
