Hi, I'm Diane Giarrusso (just call me Diane), the Library Director. I just wanted to tell you all how excited I am to see the reviews on the blog and the great displays and art you are sharing with us at the library!

The America Library Association's Young Adult Library Services Association--YALSA for short, has just released it's "2007 Alex Awards". This award honors 10 adult books that teens will enjoy reading. You can see the list here: http://tinyurl.com/2qldnr

What do you think? The library owns some of these titles and we're likely to buy the others.

Thanks for looking!

Hi Diane,
I thought that "The Book of Lost Things", "Water for Elephants", "Black Swan Green", and "The Thirteenth Tale" all look like good books that our library should probably get!

I agree! They all sound really cool! Our library should definetly get some more books that would attract teens to come to the library and check them out.
